    Who we are.

Hone Built is a growing, close-knit and committed team based in the inner-eastern and inner-northern suburbs of Melbourne. We are led by two brothers (no other beneficial owners) with complimentary skills and experience in construction, project management and all things sustainability – professionally supported by a committed crew with diverse skills ranging from landscaping to welding.

As our name suggests, we are committed to continually refining and expanding our skills, looking at each experience as an opportunity to perfect our craft. This commitment is built into who we are via the key company values of respect, teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.

    Why we do it.

Climate change: the science is clear; anthropogenic climate change has already commenced and will continue with potentially dire outcomes within this century if COâ‚‚ emissions are left unabated.

Biodiversity loss: nature and its vital contributions to people, which together embody biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services, are deteriorating worldwide. Construction impacts biodiversity via land-use change, resource use, pollution, contribution to climate change and facilitation of invasive species.

Waste: in 2020-21 Australia generated an estimated 75.8 million tonnes (Mt) of waste, 29Mt of which was construction and demolition (C&D) waste. C&D waste has increased 39% per capita over the last 15 years.
